Requesting Home Visits

Please make requests for home visits only when the patient, through illness, is unable to attend the surgery.  Visits are usually undertaken after the morning or evening surgery unless they are for emergencies.

We would appreciate it if, wherever possible, requests for home visits are made as soon as possible after 9.00 am.

How to obtain telephone advice

It is possible to speak to the doctor for advice but please remember he/she may be consulting with other patients or be out on visits. If the doctor is unavailable our reception staff will take a message and the doctor will return your call, this may be on their next available clinic in a few days time.

All medically urgent phone calls will be dealt with by the Duty Doctor, please do not request a phone call if it can wait until your preferred GP is available.
