Our Services

Carnon Downs Surgery uses the Evolution clinical software system. Evolution is provided by Microtest and is used by many GPs across the county and indeed across the UK.

Microtest have developed a system called The Waiting Room as part of our online services, which allows patients to book appointments, request repeat prescriptions,  or amend registration details from the comfort of their own home.

The website has been carefully designed for ease of use for all types of people and as many different browsers as possible.

If there is a problem with your request we will contact you by telephone or email.

Remember to allow a minimum of 2 full working days if you intend to collect your prescription from the surgery or longer if the medication you require does not appear on your screen and you have had to request it manually.  This is classed as an acute prescription and therefore will need authorisation from the GP and it will take longer to process.

Online Appointment Booking

Registered patients can use the internet to quickly book some Doctors appointments without phoning or visiting the Practice. The internet booking service is available 24 hours a day and is especially useful when the Practice is closed or phone lines are busy.

Please note that not all pre bookable appointments are available for online booking so if the day and time you need is not offered online please phone the surgery during normal hours.

Change of Address

Patients can update personal details via the 'Waiting Room'. The change of address facility enables patients to add or update address and contact details including home and mobile telephone numbers or email addresses. Changes made through this service are subject to authorisation by the practice.
